How It All Started
Welcome to the official website of the National Commission for Almajiri Education and Out-of-School Children (NCAOOSC). The National Commission for Almajiri and Out-of-School Children Education is a Government Parastatal, established by an Act of Parliament on Children’s Day, 27th May 2023, under the direct supervision of the Ministry of Education.
At NCAOOSC, our mandate is to address one of Nigeria's most pressing challenges – the issue of out-of-school children and the menace of illiteracy. We believe that education is the cornerstone of a brighter future, and every child, regardless of their circumstances, deserves access to quality learning.
Our mission is to ensure that every child in Nigeria has access to equitable and inclusive quality education, regardless of their background or social status.
Mission
A Nigeria where all children, regardless of their background, have access to quality education and the opportunity to reach their full potential
Vision
Our Commitment
We are committed to providing a multi-modal system of education that not only eradicates illiteracy but also fosters skill acquisition and entrepreneurship programs. By doing so, we aim to prevent youth poverty, delinquency, and destitution, ultimately nurturing active and productive members of society.
To achieve our mission, we work hand-in-hand with a diverse array of stakeholders, including local communities, non-governmental organizations, and government agencies. Together, we are forging a path towards a brighter, more equitable future for all Nigerian children.
